Comments from Westonka Activities Director Jeff Peterson: MWHS has had a long history of being part of the annual Athena Awards. Athena, a goddess of Greek mythology, was chosen as the symbol to represent young women athletes. Legend tells us that Athena was brave and the essence of all that is noble. All Athena Award nominees also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Congratulations, Cori, on winning this top athlete honor!
