Girls Junior Varsity Hockey, Girls Varsity Hockey · Schepers is Athletic/Activities Student of the Week

The Westonka Activities Department is proud to name Mound Westonka High School junior Liz Schepers Westonka Athletic/Activities Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 16, 2015.

Girls hockey highlights: Schepers is currently a junior captain on the girls varsity hockey team. She has been a member of the team since eighth grade. The White Hawks started the 2015-2016 season with a win over Northfield, a tie with South St. Paul and a narrow loss to Academy of Holy Angels. Schepers plays either wing or center, is a member of both the power play and penalty killing units and currently has two goals and two assists.

Comments from girls hockey coach Jack Gravel: Liz is a dynamic leader with a very strong work ethic. She is one of the first players on the ice and last to leave every day. She also spends time with our new players, helping them adjust to high school hockey. This season, Liz is giving back to the community by helping to coach the girls in the youth program. She is a highly skilled, well-respected, valuable member of the girls varsity hockey team.

Congratulations, Liz!
Teamwork. Leadership. Respect. Integrity. Excellence.
