Girls Varsity Swimming · Beyer is Athletic/Activities Student of the Week

The Westonka Activities Department is proud to name Mound Westonka High School senior Ryann Beyer Athletic/Activities Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 10, 2016. Beyer has been a key player in the success of the White Hawks swim team. For the last four years, she has participated and even placed in the Minnesota State High School Girls Swim Meet.

Comments from girls swimming and diving coaches Tim Daly and Cheryl Kittelson: Ryann is currently serving as captain of the girls swim team and was elected to this role by her teammates. She is a great leader and role model for the rest of the team, always taking practice seriously, pushing herself to reach her goals, maintaining focus on her swim technique and pushing the rest of the team to reach their goals. Ryann is a rarity in high school sports today, participating in three sports—swimming, basketball and golf—throughout the school year while still maintaining a high GPA. Ryann is definitely the type of athlete that exemplifies integrity and excellence at MWHS.

Congratulations, Ryann!
Teamwork. Leadership. Respect. Integrity. Excellence.
