Westonka DECA is sending 22 Mound Westonka High School students to the 2018 DECA International Career & Development Conference, which will be held April 21-25 in Atlanta. The group needs to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of travel, lodging and competition at Internationals.
The students’ main fundraising effort is the Discover DECA Bingo Event this Wednesday, April 4, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the MWHS cafeteria. Tickets for the event are $10 and include one Bingo card, a hot dog, chips, cookie and a water. In addition, there will be a silent auction with wonderful items to bid on. All of the money earned will go into the students’ fundraising accounts. Tickets can be purchased from any DECA student or at the door.
If Bingo and hot dogs are not your thing, please stop by and see the display of DECA projects headed to Atlanta. The students are very proud of their work and would love to show it off! The event will also feature a video of DECA highlights from the entire year. You might also find something great to bid on in the silent auction. Westonka DECA is excited to welcome you to a night of fun, fundraising, fabulous prizes and fantastic auction items!
Westonka DECA will also be hosting a fundraiser at the Wayzata Chipotle from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting MWHS DECA to make sure that 50 percent of the proceeds go to the group.
