The Mound Westonka High School junior and senior baseball players ventured outside April 10 to play softball in their first outdoor team event since spring break. Due to snowy conditions and cold weather, the MWHS teams have had to be creative in order to stay positive. They have yet to set foot on a field this spring.
Senior captains Evan Dahl, Jack LaTour and Hank Nagel have helped lead the team through early season drills. Other returning senior lettermen include Andrew Fish, Will Stein, John Koch and Jarek Witczek. Junior Sam Dufault also returns for his third season of varsity.
“There are 24 juniors and seniors out for baseball, and we look forward to getting outside and playing games once the weather finally breaks,” said head coach Bob Kuehl.
