Mound Westonka High School rising junior Mitch Krebsbach qualified for the Boys AA State Golf Tournament for the second consecutive season. Krebsbach fired a 78-75 at the Section 5AA Tournament at Pebble Creek Golf Course to earn his berth at the final event of the season. Krebsbach has had a very successful 2019 season, playing in the No. 1 position for the White Hawks all spring and helping lead the team to its second consecutive conference championship.
“Mitch has been putting up great scores all season long,” said White Hawks coach Andy Atkinson. “He had a short stint where he had some struggles a few weeks back but was able to overcome some struggles with his irons and get back to normal ways.”
Last year, Krebsbach shot a two-day total of 150 at state. He is looking to improve on his score this year as he heads to Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11 and 12.
