The Westonka Youth Lacrosse Association is helping to jump start the new Mound Westonka High School boys varsity lacrosse program. Founders of the youth program, John and Wendy Applegate, recently presented Westonka Activities Director Jeff Peterson with a check for $13,250 on behalf of the WYLA. The youth association will be donating additional funds for two more years.
The youth lacrosse parents worked hard on the LAX BASH event for two years to raise money to help support their dream of having boys lacrosse at MWHS. Westonka boys have previously been in a co-op with Holy Family, and they are really excited to be able to play lacrosse for their own high school this year. White Hawks boys lacrosse will be a self-funded program and will begin this spring, 2020.
GO WHITE HAWKS!
