A Strong Start for the Westonka Cross Country Team

By LeAnn James The Mound Westonka boys and girls cross country teams began the season by competing at the Maple Lake Invitational on Aug. 30. The weather conditions were favorable with temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s. The varsity boys took advantage of the ideal running conditions and placed second out of 12 teams.

2019 Football Season Preview

Following a productive off-season in the weight room and at summer camps, the Mound Westonka High School football team is chomping at the bit to get the 2019 season underway. The White Hawks went 6-3 last season, ending the year with a tough 17-23 loss to Lake Minnetonka rival Orono in the Section 5AAAA playoffs.
