Westonka Activities Registration Information

MWHS Athletic and Activities Registration–Winter Season, 2019-2020

Registration for winter athletics opens Tuesday October 1 and closes at midnight on Friday November 1, 2019 (with the exception of the Dance Team and Girls Hockey, where the season starts before November 1–information attached here). PLEASE CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR STUDENT’S PHYSICAL WELL AHEAD OF THE DEADLINE.  Sports physicals must be valid for the duration of the season and you will not be able to access registration if the student physical is expired, or will expire before the end of the season selected for registration or March 15 (whichever is occurs first). THE LATE FEE WILL NOT BE WAIVED DUE TO AN INVALID PHYSICAL.

Registration for winter (non-athletic) activities opens Thursday October 3; registration deadlines for winter activities vary by program and many program deadlines are before November 1.

Late registration will be available as needed by program and a $25.00 late fee will be assessed to those late registrations.

These documents include email addresses for coaches/advisors and other important dates and information that families should have before the season starts. Registration: FeePay

MWHS Activities uses an online registration process called FeePay. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to set up your family account at your earliest convenience by accessing http://www.westonka.feepay.com. Be advised that you will need each child’s student ID number in order to set-up your family profile. You can retrieve student ID numbers from Family Access (or simply ask your student for his/her student ID number). You can access more detailed instructions for the account set-up process here. Registration for sports and activities is done entirely online.

Timely registration is a priority for our coaches and advisors and allows for the best use of practice time for everyone. Please respect the goal of having all students ready to practice on the first day. If there are circumstances that prevent timely registration, please contact the Activities Office as soon as possible (952-491-8107).

Cooperative Programs, Mound Westonka Host School

Mound Westonka hosts the following Co-operative athletic teams: Boys and Girls Alpine Skiing (Holy Family Catholic High School, Providence Academy, Southwest Christian, Waconia), Boys Hockey (Watertown-Mayer), Girls Hockey (Watertown-Mayer, Southwest Christian), and Wrestling (Southwest Christian). Students from partner schools that wish to participate in one of the available cooperatives are required to register with Mound Westonka as well as with their home school district. Mound Westonka does not collect a fee during cooperative online registration (with the exception of Alpine Skiing; all other co-op students pay their fee to their home school district). However, for the purpose of creating rosters and collecting emergency information and authorizations required by Westonka Public Schools, cooperative student-participants register online through FeePay as well. Please fill out this profile form and forward to Lynne Peterson in the MWHS Activities Office (petersonl@westonka.k12.mn.us). After completing and submitting the profile, a guest student ID number will be created that will allow cooperative students to register. You will receive that number via email along with further registration instructions. It is only necessary to go through this process once for each student. Once an ID number has been assigned, it remains valid until graduation from high school.

Sports Qualifying Physical Exam

An SQPE that has been done within the last three years must be on file with the Activities Office. PLEASE CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR STUDENT’S PHYSICAL WELL AHEAD OF THE DEADLINE. If your physical has expired or will expire during the sports season for which you are registering, you must provide a current physical before you can register. (The FeePay system will not allow a student to register with a physical that is expired or will expire during the season). You can download a copy of the SQPE Form to take to your physician or clinic. Completed forms can be faxed (952-491-8127), mailed or dropped off to the Activities Department during office hours. PLEASE NOTE that physicals done on or before the date below will expire as outlined:

March 15, 2017 – expired for Winter 2019-2020
