The Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka varsity gymnastics team claimed the Wright County Conference Championship, winning with a season high over Waconia and Orono on Jan. 28. Mound Westonka High School ninth-grader Teagan Schmidt led the team on bars, taking first place. Schmidt also pulled off an impressive second-place performance on beam and second place on floor.
