MWHS Presents Spotlight on Speech April 27

Come out to Mound Westonka High School on Thursday, April 27, to see the Westonka Speech Team perform for the last time this season. Performances will begin at 5 p.m. in the MWHS Student Commons and will go through 6 p.m. Come and see why Westonka Speech was so successful this year!

Westonka Speech Ends Season at Sections

Three Earn Ribbons at Northfield Speech Tourney

Westonka Speech competed at the Northfield Speech Tournament on March 18 and had three ribbon winners. The Westonka Speech team competed at the 25th Annual Hilke Memorial Invitational at South Saint Paul High School on March 11. Last year at this tournament, the White Hawks did not break anyone into finals, but this year, Westonka had 14 students place! Eight Break into Finals at WCC Speech Tourney

Westonka Speech competed at the Wright County Conference Tournament on March 2, and a total of eight competitors broke into the finals. Speech Team Earns Hardware at Home Tourney

The Westonka and Orono speech teams played host to the first speech tournament of the 2017 season on Jan. 21. A total of 11 schools attended the one-day tournament, with 330 students competing at Grandview Middle School and Mound Westonka High School.
