Westonka Speech Team Competition Begins Jan. 20

The Westonka Speech Team starts its competitive season this Saturday, Jan. 20, at Orono High School. Together with Orono Speech, Westonka Speech will host the Second Annual Odyssey Tournament. Three Earn Ribbons at Northfield Speech Tourney

The Westonka Speech team competed at the 25th Annual Hilke Memorial Invitational at South Saint Paul High School on March 11. Eight Break into Finals at WCC Speech Tourney

Westonka Speech competed at the Wright County Conference Tournament on March 2, and a total of eight competitors broke into the finals. In Creative Expression, Mound Westonka High School ninth-graders Trinity Bielke and Ella Foster took fifth and sixth place, respectively. In Poetry, sophomore Taylor Hummelsund placed third overall.
