White Hawks Compete at State Trap Championship

Westonka had 10 students participate in the 2016 Minnesota Trap Shooting Championship last week at the Alexandria Shooting Park. Over 7,600 students in grades 6-12 participated June 14-21 in what was reportedly the world’s largest shooting event. An estimated 750,000 clay targets were launched. Trapshooting has Successful Fall Season

The Mound Westonka High School trapshooting team had 30 shooters out for trap this fall and had a safe and successful season. “Half of the team was first-year shooters, and we saw some dramatic improvement from both the new shooters and our seasoned vets,” said coach Jeff Hanratty. “We are building a great base for the future.”

White Hawks Compete in Trap Championships

Thirteen Mound Westonka High School students participated in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League’s Trap Shooting Championship in Alexandria, Minnesota on June 12.
